SIP, SHOP AND WALK: PARK PLACE

Last Thursday, I had a fun evening, attending the  SIP, SHOP AND WALK: PROGESSIVE COCKTAIL EVENT.  It was held in Park Place, area of Leawood. A few local boutiques and local shops and restaurants  participated in this unique shopping experience. You could sip on some fancy cocktail, nibble on some sushi, and keep loading your shopping tote with goodies to check out. and at the end of the evening , when your shopping bags were full, you could grab dinner at one of the participating restaurants.

The walk was designed to start off from Etiquette Boutique and end at FLOWERS BY EMILY.  We were running a bit late. While the event started from 6pm, we reached at about 6:45 or so.  The other participating shops were Bare Med Spa, BELLA BRIDESMAID, Geno's Clothier's and TITLE LINE Leawood.  Most stores were running specials and discounts.

So our first stop was ETIQUETTE BOUTIQUE.  We were given a fancy tote bag, to take us through our evening of shopping and cocktails.

The BEAUTY COUNTER pop up at the boutique caught my eye. The consultant helping me out, mentioned that theirs was an absolutely cruelty free line and was only available through individual representatives or online. Reminded me of the old Avon days. I had become an Avon representative during my student days, to supplement my pocket money. And fellow students are always great customers. Coming back to the Beauty Counter, the sugar scrub smelt and felt nice, I must add. This pop up of the line was created especially for this evening, trying to introduce customers to the line. Beauty Counter is a California based company which has a long list of products it does not use, including animal fat. Need to explore this line a bit further.

And then it was time to browse the racks. Any guesses which became my instant picks?

Loved the display of metallic jewelry. There was a nice collection of different metals and different finishes. Was I planning which ones to pair for Fashion Week? Maybe, in my mind. The boutique was running  20% discount on all sales that evening.

My shopping partner was clearly enjoying her mini cupcakes from CUPCAKE A LA MODE . And Mommy continued to shop while munching on some sushi from RA SUSHI. Both of the happen to be our favorites as well, so that made added to the overall fun quotient of the evening.

The man decided to drop into GENO'S CLOTHIER'S for browsing the racks for himself. We are regulars at Park Place, so shopping became easier. Geno's is well known among its clientele for its quality tailoring. A locally owned and operated men's store where you can find a melee of brands, but dont miss out on the one on one attention.

All the walking around, had made my feet achy. So the BARE MED SPA  seemed like a great idea. Sipping on some bubbly , I just could not help but get skin care chatty with Sheila . We discussed so many options of what we could do to my skin that it means I am surely going back. And I might just take my camera with me to give you all a sneak peek, into what medical spas are all about.

And who can miss the beautiful floral arrangements  from FLOWERS BY EMILY. I am a huge fan of her wonderful creations, and have admired them at many events.

Time was running out on us, but we did manage to make it to most of the participating establishments. We had  great time walking around with our glass of bubbly in hand, and going through the racks and chatting up . The vent had a great turnout of people, who kept moving through all the participating stores. Thank you Kathryn Elise Studo for such a fun evening. Really hope there are more of these, and maybe spread over a weekend.
