I love Summer but I can’t deny, that the Summer sun is not the kindest to my skin. Having had my share of travel and pool time, I had to book a restorative skincare session. A Signature Facial at @beauty.brands is a customized service. It’s tailored to suit the needs of your skin and what your skin care goals are. My Signature Facial was an Anti-Aging, Brightening Facial which also included a Derma-planing service. It helped remove all the dead skin, peach fuzz, and even makeup buildup. As a result of which skin care products will now absorb better and makeup will also glide on smoother. I will be 40 later this year , so anti-aging skin care was one of my skin care goals! Head over to my stories to hear all about facials from Master Esthetician @skin.bycourt .

KCFW FW'22 - WEDNESDAY NIGHT RUNWAY - A RECAP

Wednesday Night Runway show of Kansas City Fashion Week Fall Winter'22 was one amazing evening! It was one night of back to back hits which left everyone amazed and inspired. Sitting front row and soaking it all in, I cannot tell you how happy my creative heart is! Of the designers showing, I had only seen two of them earlier, so it was good to see many new labels and designers. Presenting some of my favorite moments of the Wednesday night of runway show!

Cahri's Boutique started off the evening with their ode to formal wear! Some could call it risqué, some could call it edgy, but everyone will agree that it was haute couture and perfectly runway worthy!

Kingdom Culture : Being a mom, I am always excited whenever a designer shows off kids fashion. Kingdom Culture was no different. From prints to neutrals, from co-ord sets, to pretty dresses, loved how every piece had an emphasis on African prints. To be frank, its one trend, which I saw across collections this season at the KCFW runway, and as a person of color, it really makes me happy!

Elsi Mari knows how to make a statement with fabrics and silhouettes! And yes, Pinks are hot for Fall, she proved. Silks and Tweed, pinks and teals, and of course a definite sense of whimsy and drama on the way.

Gabuarti presented a fresh take on neck ties on the KCFW runway! Not to be confused with retro workwear, every piece was modern, exquisite and definitely making a statement!

Sam Macke created a statement with cutouts and colors! Bright tangerine to oatmeal, black to browns, he brought it all to the runway with his signature creativity! Not to mention that he made oversized fits look so fashionable that my mom-bod is happy!

Selvage Collective was all about emphasizing sustainable fashion and recycled garments. It's another trend that I saw this season of KCFW, across collections. They brought denim and denim and denim in various brilliant avatars. And if you know me, you know how much I love denim. I loved the attention to detail in this collection where every pieces screamed exclusive.

Kindred is a local boutique collective in Kansas City! From haute couture, it was time to look at street style, and they had us impressed! All that you need to get ready for fall in Kansas City, was right there to inspire you!

Reduce wowed us with their emphasis on sustainable fashion! Didn't I just tell you how this was a recurring theme across runway shows this season! I had seen a preview of their collection at the media night of KCFW. They interspersed between decades of fashion with low rises, bucket hats, patch work and flared pants. Their sheer cohesiveness created a wonderful anesthetic on the runway.

Madora was dreamy, romantic and everything you need in a Fall-Winter runway show! The silhouettes were very feminine with their emphasis on lace and corsets being integrated in evening wear!

Anji B was the finale designer of Wednesday night of runway shows, and she closed it with a bang! From metallics to animal prints, from lace to shine, you had everything you needed to get ready for all the holiday parties in the world, and beyond!

And that's a wrap of the recap of runway shows of Kansas City Fashion Week's Wednesday night runway show at Union Station. Stay tuned for more from KCFW
