TRENCH COAT FOR FALL - MY ODE TO PARISIAN STYLE

If I was asked to name that one item in my closet, which I couldn't do without, in Fall-Winter, it ha stop be my tench coat! Its a different story, that I love it so much, that I have it in a few colors. Speaking of the classic trench coat, its definitely a wardrobe staple. Trends might come and go, but this style is something which is a classic. Its decibels my ode to Parisian style. Styled mine with my quintessential blue skinny jeans, white top/blouse, black ankle boots, and my Crimson Sweetheart statement earrings from Nickel and Suede. My personal style is always a mix of local and national brands.

My trench coat is a double-breasted trench coat, which I had tailored to fit my petite frame. Although you can get one which is meant for petites, now. I had bought mine online, but I would recommend, trying a few styles of trench coats, to figure out which one you like. Also I opted for the classic camera color, but you can pick out what color suits you. Yes, I also have it in powder blue, which I love for Spring. When you are styling a trench coat, play with proportions, see what works for you.

MINIMALISTIC FALL+THANKSGIVING DECOR

While everyone already has their Christmas trees up, here I am still in Thanksgiving mode! Or let's say in Fall decor mode! As I had mentioned in my previous home decor post about Halloween, Fall decor is something I really enjoy! I am all for minimalistic Fall decor, as you had seen in my previous year's post! I am what can be called a minimalistic decorator, as I just focus on our main living area. I like to add accents, which we can add in, to complement our existing scheme. We have an open-concept floor plan. Our design style for our home can be described as a blend of farmhouse-industrial.

This year, I decided to take inspiration from the wall clock in our living room. So greens, ivory/white, and of course a hint of browns! This year, I must add that whites and greens are prevalent, with just hints of rust/browns! My only exception in the color scheme is the velvet pumpkin wreath on my front door! It has deep wine velvet pumpkins with hints of greenery. Our front door is a bright canary yellow, and nothing but cool tones could balance that out.

From pumpkins in various sizes and textures to pumpkin garlands, from hints of greenery to some candles and fairy lights, it was all about creating a cozy vibe! Hope you have a great Thanksgiving!

PLAID & FUR & A PUMPKIN PATCH - FALL STYLE

Fall is here! The weather has been temperamental, I must add, the last few days. We have had sunny days this Fall, with temps in the late 60s, and there also have been days when the temps dipped in the 30s. We almost pulled out our Winter coats, thinking Fall had missed making a stop in our town when the sun started shining. We had to make the best use of a sunny weekend, and indulge in our annual ritual - a visit to our favorite pumpkin patch.

Last year, we had co-ordinated our family costumes in chambray/blue, this year I decided to reach out for plaid. It is always too tempting to shop for new outfits whenever family photos are being taken. But we decided to shop for our closet. I have styled this faux fur vest quite a few ways, on my blog, and also these boots and my favorite plaid shirt. The only thing new in this outfit is the jeggings I recently picked. I am on the search for the perfect mid-rise skinny jeans, and I haven't yet found the perfect pair. I will do a blog post, rounding up some of the ones, I have tried on, very soon. My Chanel sunglasses are an investment piece, which I love using in many outfit ideas. My red plaid, my faux fur vest, dark wash mid-rise jeggings, camo boots, silver hoops, and Fall lips - MAC VIVA GLAM 1. I was comfortable and warm throughout the afternoon, as we walked our way across the patch to pick out our pumpkins.

Do you want to know how we co-ordinated our family outfits, in the Plaid? Yes, the puppy's scarf was coordinated too!

BOOZY AND SCHMOOZY NIGHT OUT AT FRANKIE & JULES BOUTIQUE

Who doesn't love an evening out with their girlfriends? I know as much as I love that, I have not been able to manage that as often, as my heart would have wanted. So in one my busiest weeks so far, I thought of taking away a few moments, to pen down about a fun evening, I had, with some of my blogger babes.

Frankie and Jules Boutique, hosted Boozy and Schmoozy Night Out, along with KC Style Trio. It was a weeknight with the vibes of the weekend. I had been planning to go to the boutique, for some time, and the invite just came at the right time.

Mother-daughter duo, Jan Morgan and Julia Rice, created Frankie and Jules in 2006. They started out with pop-up parties, and are now in their second location at the intersection of 159th and Metcalf in Overland Park. If you cannot make it to the boutique in person, then I have linked the website for you to shop online.

They have the cutest range of affordable fashion-forward attire. It was fun to scope the cutest outfits and carry on a mega try on sesh! From shag jackets to tweed blazers, from chic jumpsuits to sky-high boots, they had something for everyone.  It was hard to choose from when you love almost love everything. I picked out the cutest sweater, which I finally wore on my birthday.
The wine was flowing and the party was on, as we shopped our way through the evening. Besides the cutest outfits and accessories and shoes, they had the cutest collection of home decor items.
It was really nice to meet so many lovely ladies in one evening. Blogger babes are surely the best.
Thank you, Frankie and Jules and KC Style Trio for hosting such a fun night. This Momma really needed it!
