STRIPES,DENIM,BLUSH & BOOTIES - TRANSITION TO FALL

I am sipping onto my spiced Latte as I put this post together. Am sure enjoying the throw I have casually thrown over my feet. Fall dear Fall, how much have I missed you. The initial few weeks of Fall are usually very unpredictable. There's that all familiar chill on most days but there are some day when the heat is full on.

I love my SUmmer outfits and I dont belive in breaking the bank every seaon to update my style. Does that mean, I dont shop every season. No Not at all. I invest in pieces which I will be using. But I also believe in ways in which you can transition your last season's outfits, to make them more appropriate for the next season. Summer to Fall is no exception to this rule. I had done an Outfit Post featuring my Knife Pleated Blush Skirt a few months back. You can read about it HERE. It made for a pretty Summer Brunch Outfit. Here in this post, I have taken the very same skirt, added some transitional pieces and different accessories, to take it to Fall. I let go of the white button down ,from the previous outfit and switched it with some French inspired Stripes. Switched up the nude pumps . Added some grey Booties in suede, to bring in that entire Sweater Weather vibe

Layers are everyone's best friend, at this time of the year. For those days, when its not too chilly, to bring out your chunky cable knits, a trusty Denim Shirt(not even a denim jacket, I tell you). goes a long way in making you comfortable. It was slightly cool the morning, I planned this outfit. So the denim shirt, which was slightly thicker than my Chambray shirt, provided just the right snuggle factor to make me comfortable. I deliberately opted for a denim shirt in a darker wash to make the outfit more Fall appropriate.

I kept the accessories to a minimum. Just my Classic Rayban Wayfarers and big Black Bag to carry all my weekend essentials. I was ready for Brunch !

So there's no need to throw your summer outfits to the back of your closet, you can just transition them to Fall, with the right accessories and layers.

If you want to shop my Outfit, then head on to the end of the post for all the product links.

COLOR OF THE YEAR- ROSE QUARTZ: KCFW FW'16 FINAL NIGHT OOTD

Planning outfits for Fashion Week is always so much fun. Of all the days of Fashion Week, the last day is when people are at their fanciest best. I love my monochromes and would have stuck with black again to pair with my ivory white midi skirt. I know black and white are always timeless together. Somehow Pantone's Color of the Year seemed to win this fashion dilemma in my mind. It was the perfect Rose Quartz or Blush crop top I have come across. And trust me, I have gone through dozens of tops in putting this outfit together. It was an ideal match with my floral heels and my rose gold Zara bag.

HERMES SCARF : KCFW FW'16 FRIDAY NIGHT OOTD

My Hermes Scarf was my inspiration in planning my outfit for Friday Night of KCFW Fall Winter '16. It was a Valentine's Day present from my husband, just before I gave birth to our daughter. I had just worn it once with a black maternity tunic and black tights for a dinner then. It lay in my closet in its fancy box, waiting for another occasion. I always felt I needed the perfect blank canvas of an outfit to do justice to this wonderful scarf. Its the Tutankhamun Scarf by Hermes, which is now sold out. Honestly its an asset and an investment.

I came across this suede dress with eyelet details and a scalloped hem at Target while doing groceries one day. I know suede dresses have been around since last season, but I loved the detailing and thd cut of this dress. Somehow it seemed to be the blank canvas I was looking for to bring out my Hermes Scarf out of hibernation. My Lauren Tote from Ralph Lauren, MAC Ruby Woo , leopard pumps and some bronze eyes. I was all set.
