Pink is always a good idea especially when it's Spring. Chunky knits, jeans, and boots are some of my favorite outfit items when the temps drop. the best part is how I can dress it up or down. I can pair it with a blazer and looks very business casual, or throw on a utility jacket and change to sneakers and you are ready to chill with your friends. I have opted for skinny jeans here, as I am not ready to retire my stash. But you can pair this with mom jeans or straight-leg jeans too. I love to balance out the proportions in my outfit so a baggier fit sweater pair well, in my opinion, with a fitted pair of pants. Are you a fan of chunky knits?

Thanksgiving Glam - EXPRESS  edition! Yes, I am one of the few who was waiting for Thanksgiving and hadn't switched over to Christmas yet! Usually we do Friendsgiving every year and I love my outfits to be comfy with a touch of glam. So the Leather Pants from EXPRESS paired with a top with a fun Fall print, seemed like a perfect idea. Paired it with white ankle boots, but could also pair with white sneaks.

MUSTARD SWEATER & STRAIGHT LEG JEANS: EMBRACING COLOR FOR FALL

Embracing the quintessential colors of Fall in my outfit! Mustard Yellow is a favorite of mine and I love styling it for Fall. I am sure you'll remember my Mustard Dress post from a  few years back, which I had worn for one of the nights for KCFW. Or how I had styled this Sweater with a leather skirt, a few years ago, for Thanksgiving. Mustard is one of those colors, which is a fall staple, in my books. 

I love jeans any day of the year, so when the temps dropped here in KC, I had to put together a jeans and sweater outfit.Paired the mustard sweater with my Straight Leg Jeans from Express, for my weekend outfit. I think for us petites, straight leg jeans do come with their share of design challenges. I love opting for a ankle length version of straight leg jeans. A second trick is to pair them with heels, which makes my legs look longer, without me drowning in fabric. Also, my new sunglasses from Eb & Co, have been on steady rotation all week. My jeans from Express are 40% off this weekend! GO CHIEFS OOTD: JILL MARIE TEES & EXPRESS

 

Go Chiefs ! My Game Day T-shirt from Jill Marie Tees, my Red Sunglasses from Pink Dinosaur Boutique , and my earrings from Tirza Design are the perfect accompaniment for my mom jeans from Express and sneakers from Target. It’s all about finding that balance of local, small businesses and big-box! My t-shirt is uni-sex that makes it a great choice for nay Chiefs Fan. And these red sunglasses caught my husband's eye, when we were at Pink Dinosaur boutique, and we cooked two pairs, so that we could wear it for game days! We love to dress up whenever we are cheering for the Chiefs.While I do have a pair of white sneakers, I was looking for one which had leather accents, if not was all leather. The Madison sneakers from Target are clearly a great find, especially with their memory foam sole. Enjoy the game and remember to shop small this holiday season, as much as you can!
