WHAT I WORE FOR KCFW FW '16 CHARITY NIGHT

Kansas City Fashion Week kicked of its Fall Winter Runway shows with its Charity Night on Thursday. Its always tricky to plan your outfits for Fashion Week, as fashion week is always a season early. So when you step into Spring, you are attending the Fall Winter Shows. So for the first night, I decided to pay an homage to Fall-Winter Fashion.

Military Green and Black were my choice for the night. Hounds tooth is an iconic Winter print or texture. A military green hounds tooth skater skirt seemed just apt. High waisted skirts are a great way to create a clothing illusion which hides my tummy bulge. I added a statement belt in braided black leather and a big metallic belt with a studded turquoise. The belt and the high waist attract attention to the smallest part of my torso creating diverting attention from my problem areas. The thick belt and its statement buckle would tie in with my choice of turquoise jewellery. If you know me, you know how much I love collecting statement jewellery in turquoise.

Cutouts are big currently and my top had lovely cutout shoulders. The interesting shoulder details, further took away any emphasis from the tummy region. Add a pointy toed shoe to any outfit and its a winner. Add it in black patent leather and you own the night.
