BLOGTALK KC MEETUP AT SEASONS 52

MandyWilliams Beyeler (Sugar Bee Crafts), Reshmi Mukherjee Ghosh(Breather Bounty) and Angela Muir(Handmade in the Heartland)
Last Tuesday I attended the Blog Talk KC Meetup at SEASONS 52 at the Country Club Plaza, in Kansas City. Blog Talk KC is the brainchild of Angela Muir of Handmade in the Heartland and Mandy William Beyeler of SugarBee Crafts .  I always jump up at the opportunity of meeting my fellow bloggers, and this came with an added perk. It was almost a seminar on HOW to PUMP Up YOUR PAGE VIEWS by our brilliant speaker Mandy Williams Beyeler of Sugar Bee Crafts. Their sessions are always amazing. You realize you have learnt so much after each session. And the question and answer round, which they always encourage, lands up picking up queries which you had been pushing at the back of your head. Great job ladies !

Whether you are a new blogger or have been blogging for 5 plus years like me, Page Views are a tricky zone. The right page views always opens up so many newer doors for you and dwindling page views or static numbers can be quite unsettling.  Mandy made sure that page views were no longer the elusive Unicorn with rainbow fur. It was in fact achievable.

Lisa Murie (Peridot Skies) and Erin Barnes(Pretty Polished Perfect): Co-Founders of The Blog Guild

While I had my calendar marked for the event, for some time, I was going through a Blogging crisis closer to the actual event. I had recently been made aware of how multiple Pictures from my Blog had been stolen and were being used commercially. I had tried my best to be polite to the Thieves per se, but they landed up blocking me. I know I can always rely on the lovely founders of The Blog Guild, for advice when I need it. Lisa and Erin helped me out so much after the seminar. I am fixing my appointment with an attorney very soon, to sue for the theft of my Intellectual Property. Thank you ladies. And we were quite matchy matchy with our Plaid Scarves, I just noticed.

Seasons 52 at the Plaza, in Kansas City as our fabulous host. I just loved the private dinning area they had provided us . You could soak in all the information and stare out at the beautiful Plaza night sky, and sip on your spirit of choice. Seasons 52 served us their lovely array of flat bread. My favorites were the braised Beef and the Pesto Chicken with Rocket. I opted for a Prairie Mule for my cocktail of the evening. I was not driving, as my elbow is still busted , so I could take the liberty of sipping on something fancy. Did I mention that I never shy away from trying cocktails. And if I love a particular cocktail, I always try and re-create it at home.

Mandy had prepared this beautiful PowerPoint presentation for her address for the night. And in the social media fliers that were handed out to us, there was link to the same. So we all typed in the said address in our browser and lo and behold ,we all had a copy of the presentation right in our hands. Smart thinking Boss Lady . It was a 20 minute presentation followed by a very informative question and answer session. I saw sipping on my spirit of choice and busy taking notes. Looking forward to implementing all that I learnt.

Blogger Meet Ups are so much fun as you get to meet up with old faces and catch up from where you left off last time. It was so good meeting Laura  and Shanda. As I type this post,  Laura's launch of her new venture MarketMox  has just kicked off downtown. I am so bummed that I could not make it there, despite my best intentions. My best wishes are always there for you.

Laura Noll of MarketMox and Shanda Cook of PrettyoGraphy
Just as its fun to catch up with old faces, it equally nice to meet new ones.

Kiara Watts(Kiara Loves KC) and Reshmi Mukherjee Ghosh (Breather Bounty )
All good things must come to end. The lovely evening came to an end with these tiny dessert servings. I opted for a Chocolate and Raspberry Cup. Perfect to round off the evening.

For my OOTD, I had worn a slouchy sweater from Express, light blue Jeggings from American Eagle, a Plaid blanket scarf from Target. For my Makeup, teh star of teh show was clearly my MAC MEHR Lipstick. For my base I used Make Up Forever Ultra HD Foundation, MAC ProLongwear Concealer in NW20, MAC Mineralize SKin Finish Natural in Medium, Urban Decay Eye Shadow Primer in Original. For my eyes, I used Urban Decay Buck on my crease. Urban Decay Factory on my outer corner and Urban Decay on my inner corner. MAC Blacktrack Fluidine gel eyeliner, Maybelline the Falsies Mascara in Black and Anastasia Brow Wiz in Gunmetal and Maybelline Brow Gel in clear.

If you loved my Lipstick, as much as I did, make sure to check out the Blog Post next Thursday for a detailed review of MAC MEHR lipstick.
